Once upon a time I worked for a theatre company called DreamThinkSpeak.
The production was called 'Before I Sleep'
All of their work is a kind of interweaving of installations and live performance. In this piece, the audience is guided through a disused department store in central Brighton in which each room evokes a feeling or advances the story.
I just sat in the corners of various rooms, wearing a trenchcoat and nervously brandishing a walky-talky, making sure nobody started a fire.
In the final room, made out to be a woodland, this music was playing in loop...
